Our work near Châtillon
No client in Châtillon yet. The nearest is a tiler in Chessy, 3 km away, whose site we rebuilt from scratch.
A village perched over the valley
The town covers 10.7 km², from 199 to 334 metres above sea level. Its castle chapel is two 12th century chapels stacked one on the other, and the parish church dates from 1722. The villagers were granted a charter of franchises in 1261, and Châtillon-d’Azergues station puts the village on the TER line to Lyon.
Bakers, wine shops, roofers
The town hall directory lists bakeries, a pharmacy, a florist, hairdressers, wine shops, restaurants and beauty salons, a comedy café, about ten building trades (roofing, plumbing, electrics, cabinet making, tiling), a winegrower and a bee farm.
The right Châtillon
Several French towns are called Châtillon. For a local tradesman, the site must say Châtillon-d’Azergues, the Rhône and 69380 on every page, show the jobs in photos and put the phone number one tap away: that is what counts before the first call.
