A weavers’ town
The Vieux L’Arbresle museum, in a 16th century building, gives weaving a large place: silk marked the town until the weaving mill closed on 28 January 1960. The town is part of the Beaujolais UNESCO Global Geopark, labelled in 2018.
The market, the retail park and the centre
On Friday mornings, place Sapéon, the traditional market; on Saturday mornings, place de la République, the producers’ market. The retail park gathers supermarkets, sports shops and garages, and the traders’ and craftsmen’s association federates the centre, where in October 2026 the town hall was looking for someone to open a shop.
From the stall to the site
The station serves the Lyon - Roanne line and the west Lyon tram-train. A Saturday producer who gives the address of his site at his stall keeps in touch with the client who came from Lyon: seasonal produce, orders to collect, the next market.
