Le Tacos de Lozanne: the menu first.

A restaurant does not need a complicated website. It needs one that makes people want to come. How we built the Le Tacos de Lozanne site around its menu.

1 min read

Staged scene: three screens above a counter show the menu boards of Le Tacos de Lozanne.

The starting point

The former site had been published by hand, with a wrong address: number 30 instead of 22 rue du Pont. For a restaurant, the address is one of the first things a customer looks for.

What we did

  • Every dish of the menu in a photo.
  • The menu boards full screen, readable on a phone.
  • An “Order” button and the phone number visible on arrival.
  • A map to find the restaurant, at the right address.
  • Cookie free visit statistics, in a private dashboard.
  • An identity in red and black, with Bricolage Grotesque and Inter Tight.

What we take from it

On a restaurant’s website, the menu does the work. A customer wants to know what they will eat, where, and how to order. Everything else comes after.

The site is live on letacoslozanne.fr, the restaurant’s own domain.
